Usain Bolt Runs 200 Meter Race in 19.73 Seconds, Records Fastest Time Of 2013 (Video)

In 19.73 seconds, most people can blink four times, eat half a pretzel or send an almost well-thought out text message. In that time, Usain Bolt can run 200 meters.

Bolt ran the fastest 200 meter race of 2013 at the Diamond Leauge meet in Paris, barely breaking Tyson Gay‘s 19.74-second dash. Gay set that standard at the U.S. World Championships earlier this summer.

While this is now the precedent for the summer, it’s just a warm up for Bolt. He owns the world record in the 200 meter, running it in 19.19 seconds. Bolt will have another chance at the World Championships in Moscow next month, but at this rate, he’ll finish the race before it even begins.
