Bill Belichick used Thursday’s practice to mix up his defense a bit.
Devin McCourty, who was drafted as a cornerback but has since shifted to safety, participated in some drills with the corners during the Patriots’ sixth practice of training camp, while newly acquired defensive back Adrian Wilson spent part of the day working with the linebackers.
One position group that did begin to solidify, though, was at wide receiver. Julian Edelman was removed from the physically unable to perform list and practiced for the first time, and rookie Aaron Dobson was back on the field after sitting out Wednesday.
The Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe was on site at Gillette Stadium, and he brings his three takeaways from another day of camp in the video above from NESN Sports Today.
