Bill SimmonsOh, Bill Simmons. You couldn’t at least wait until the channel debuted before you started a pointless cross-cable feud?

On Saturday, the Fox network of channels unveils its newest addition: Fox Sports 1, a 24-hours sports channel designed to compete with ESPN. Will they be able to keep up with the Bristol giant? That remains to be seen, but if anyone has the resources to do it in the arena of sports, it’s Fox.

So, with the unveiling of the new network just a week away, you might forgive them for sending out some haughty tweets in the run-up. Simmons, however, just won’t let it slide.

On Saturday, Fox Sports Live‘s Twitter account (Fox Sports 1’s answer to SportsCenter) sent out a tweet reading “You officially have ONE WEEK to enjoy whatever else might be on television. We’re coming.” Simmons then manually retweeted the network, adding his own interjection: “Settle down.”

Well, Fox Sports Live wasn’t one to take that lying down, firing back at Simmons while continuing the holier-than-thou act.

This is all kind of nauseating already. Check out the offending tweets below.
