Most of the Arizona Diamondbacks were happy when Paul Goldschmidt hit a walk-off home run in the 11th inning Tuesday night, the second straight day the D-Backs walked off against the visiting Orioles.

But Arizona pitcher Brandon McCarthy had something else on his mind.

McCarthy, whose locker is next to Goldschmidt’s, was already looking ahead to the now-complicated process of getting to his stuff after the game. With Goldschmidt sure to get attention, McCarthy wasn’t as keen on the heroics.
