Dodgers Marlins BaseballIt’s reunion time in Los Angeles.

Friday night marks the first time ex-Red Sox Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez will face their former team since the blockbuster trade that sent them, Josh Beckett and Nick Punto to the Dodgers last August.

Both Crawford and Gonzalez have put together solid seasons in Dodger blue thus far. Gonzalez has been arguably L.A.’s most consistent position player, posting a .299 average with 16 home runs and 79 RBIs while playing in 123 of the team’s 127 games.

Injuries hobbled Crawford earlier in the year, but he has rebounded nicely, hitting safely in eight of his last 10 games. Crawford also leads the team with 11 stolen bases, though the Dodgers aren’t a club that puts a whole lot of stock in steals.

Batting between Crawford, the Dodgers’ leadoff hitter, and No. 3 man Gonzalez against Red Sox starter John Lackey on Friday will be rookie phenom Yasiel Puig, who has cooled off a bit of late but continues to be one of the most explosive hitters in baseball.
