Danny AmendolaFOXBORO, Mass. — After catching six passes for 71 yards against the Buccaneers on Friday night, Danny Amendola was not out at the start of Monday’s practice.

Amendola did not appear to suffer any injuries during Friday night’s game and stayed on the sideline throughout. He has been one of the Patriots’ best offensive players throughout the summer and scored the Pats’ first touchdown against Tampa Bay in New England’s second preseason game.

Along with Amendola, Mark Harrison, Rob Gronkowski, Brandon Jones, Jermaine Cunningham and Armond Armstead were not out on the practice field. Marcus Cannon, Alfonzo Dennard, Ras-I Dowling and Daniel Fells were spotted at the beginning of practice with pads on, but they did not participate in drills. Dan Connolly and Markus Zusevics did not play in Friday’s game, but they did participate in practice.

Devin McCourty was not wearing his red non-contact jersey. That’s the second time he has shed the red jersey this summer. The first time came in a non-padded scrimmage. That may be a good sign that McCourty could play Thursday in Detroit.
