FOXBORO, Mass. — Some big names were back on the Gillette Stadium practice fields Monday afternoon in the Patriots’ first session since Thursday night’s preseason game against the Lions.
Danny Amendola was back on the field after missing two practices and the game with an undisclosed injury. Ras-I Dowling and Jermaine Cunningham were back out there in full pads, as well.
While it will be important for Dowling and Cunningham to get back on the field this Thursday against the Giants, Amendola has nothing left to prove in the preseason. He looked like the Patriots’ best skill-position player in training camp (other than Tom Brady, of course) and was one of the best players in the first two preseason games, as well.
