Doug Gilmour, the general manager of the Kingston Frontenacs in the OHL, brought his son Jake to the team in 2012 after drafting him in the eighth round, but a year later he’s shipping him off to a new team.

On Wednesday afternoon, the GM and former NHL star made some moves and  sent his 16-year-old son packing to the Niagra IceDogs.

The younger Gilmour had yet to play with the Frontenacs after spending last season with the Brampton Jr. B Bombers, where he recorded eight assists in 43 games.
