Jerry Kill Writes Note Excusing Minnesota Fans From Work Early to Tailgate For Team’s Opener Against UNLV (Photo)

Fans around the country are gearing up for the first weekend of college football, and Minnesota football fans even got a little help from their head coach to prepare for the opening game.

Head Coach Jerry Kill crafted a letter that fans can print out and present to their boss excusing them from work early on Thursday. The Golden Gophers take on UNLV at 6 p.m. Thursday, and Kill’s letter requests an early dismissal for employees to tailgate for the game. Kill ensures employers that they’ll “get those reports first thing Tuesday morning.”

Here’s hoping those bosses will be forgiving. Check out the excuse note below.
