Joe Kelly’s Elementary School Essay Accurately Predicts Future as Pitcher (Photo)

Becoming a professional baseball player is at the top of most kids’ lists for dream jobs, but only a select few get to live out that dream.

That lucky group happens to include Joe Kelly, a pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, who knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life on the diamond back in elementary school. Earlier this summer, the 25-year-old tweeted a picture of an essay he wrote as a youngster that accurately predicted he would become a pitcher.

Kelly had his priorities straight as he envisioned that he would still be handsome ten years down the road, and that once his career ended, he would move on to bigger and better things — like scuba diving — which still is a possibility for the right-hander.
