Jonny Gomes is the pinch hitter to end all pinch hitters.

Gomes, who was subbed in partway through Thursday night’s Red Sox win, was once again in the middle of the action in the ninth inning. This time, the Red Sox came back from five-run deficit, plating six runs in the bottom of the ninth to win on another walk-off.

Gomes had one of the pivotal hits, singling in Shane Victorino to tie the game before Daniel Nava ended it with a walk-off single. Gomes also had one of the most memorable Red Sox walk-offs earlier this season.

After the game, Gomes was doused with water from both the skies and his teammates. See what he had to tell NESN’s Jenny Dell, who also got caught in the shower, as the Sox celebrated another walk-off W.
