Kobe Bryant recently made an interesting offhand comment when he said that Tracy McGrady was the toughest player he’s ever had to guard. Well, it appears that the feeling is mutual.

McGrady first came into the NBA all the way back in 1997, which was the last of Michael Jordan‘s championship seasons with the Chicago Bulls. So, McGrady certainly should know a thing or two about Jordan’s prowess at while he was still in his relative prime.

McGrady was recently asked about Bryant’s comments by TMZ’s ever-roaming cameras and was given the same query as Bryant. For the record, McGrady begs to differ that he faced Jordan during his prime, but he’s still sticking with Bryant as the toughest player he’s ever had to guard.

“It’s Kobe, all day,” said McGrady. “Ain’t nobody close.”
