Toronto Maple Leafs fans are a different breed, as recently evidenced by a fan named Brian Floyd.

Floyd apparently infused his love of the Leafs and hot summer sun in a unique way recently. The Toronto fan (and that’s certainly putting it lightly) decided he was going to get himself a new Maple Leafs jersey, only not how you might expect him to do so.

Floyd instead strategically applied sunscreen to his back and went outside and sat in the sun. That’s all he did. After a while, he became sunburned. And when he did, “Reimer” and “34” appeared on his back as a tribute to Leafs goalie James Reimer. Floyd applied the sunscreen in a way that when he eventually burned, the sunscreen would cover up skin to make the name and number readable.
