Members of L.A. Kings Ice Girls Crew, Baseball Wives to Compete on ‘The Amazing Race’ (Video)

For the second year in a row, the NHL with have representatives competing on The Amazing Race on CBS.

In 2012, former Carolina Hurricanes winger and current free agent Bates Battaglia and his brother, Anthony, won the reality show. This year’s NHL reps will be of a different caliber. The Los Angeles Kings announced on Wednesday that Ally Mello and Ashley Covert, two members of the team’s ice crew, will by vying for the show’s $1 million prize.

The two won’t be the only members from the sports world competing on the show, though. Current FOX Sports 1 analyst and former Houston Texans offensive tackle Ephraim Salaam will join former Texans teammate Chester Pitts to compete, and baseball wives Kim DeJesus, wife of Tampa Bay Rays outfielder David DeJesus, and Nicky Getz, wife of Kansas City Royals second baseman Chris Getz, will join forces on the reality show.

The Amazing Race premieres on Sunday, Sept. 29.
