Mike Shanahan Pulls Joke on Robert Griffin III During Steelers Game, Asks If He Wants to Go In (Video)

Robert Griffin III has made it clear that he wants to see some action in preseason games, and head coach Mike Shanahan has made it equally as clear that it’s not going to happen.

The Redskins quarterback and his coach have been at odds over the rate of his recovery process, but after suffering a torn ACL during last year’s postseason, the Redskins have adopted a cautious approach regarding their star. That didn’t stop Shanahan from playing a cruel, little joke on RGIII during the first quarter of Monday night’s game against the Steelers, however.

RGIII was strolling innocently on the sidelines when Shanahan motioned to the field and asked him if he wanted to go in before quickly shaking his head and laughing.
