Make A WishIt wasn’t a Tom Brady pass or a Vince Wilfork tackle that closed out Patriots training camp. Instead, it was a touchdown run that proved dreams really do come true.

Eduardo Martinez, who attended Patriots practice on Thursday courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Patriots Charitable Foundation, got to put on a helmet and join Brady and the offense in the huddle before running for a touchdown against the Buccaneers, who were in town for a joint practice. Once he scored the touchdown, he celebrated with both teams and added on a spike at the end.”That’s incredible,” Patriots safety Devin McCourty said to the media after practice. “Just to see, he got to come out and like you guys were just talking about, taking a handoff from Tom Brady and got to score a touchdown. I think that was great of him. He actually got to break down the team for our last day of training camp.

“I’m sure it’s a memory he’ll always have, and us as players, we remember that too. It was just good to be a part of that.”

Martinez also spent some time with Brady before the final day of training camp started, and then watch the joint practice from the stands. His special day wasn’t over after his touchdown, though, as he spent some time playing catch with Tim Tebow afterward.
