Red Sox Always Remain Confident Late, Jonny Gomes Says (Video)

Jonny Gomes admits that he’s played on teams in the past where, if the opponent ties the game late, it’s like “wind out of your sails.”

But “not this team,” says the Boston left fielder.

The Red Sox came up with their 10th walk-off win of the season late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The club is now just two shy of its season-best mark for walk-off wins, but the late victories are a byproduct of the resilience the squad has shown all year.

On Wednesday it was Stephen Drew. Who will it be next time?

Check out everything Gomes had to say in the video above.

Aetna Strike Out Homeless

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
