Ronda Rousey (2)In case anyone needs to be reminded, Ronda Rousey is a UFC fighter, not an actress. But yet again, she is making moves to become the latter.

With all of the attention Rousey has received outside of the fighting world, it’s easy to forget that she will be defending her title on Dec. 28. She faces off against Miesha Tate, the rival who said she would “rip [Rousey’s] face off” if the two fought again, at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas at UFC 168.

After Sylvester Stalone announced her role in “The Expendables 3,” alongside boxer Victor Ortiz, Rousey might again be headed for the silver screen in “Fast & Furious 7.” If the UFC bantamweight champion lands a spot in the movie, she is to have a role that shows off her fighting ability, Variety reports.

Though filming for “The Expendables 3” starts soon and “Fast & Furious 7” begins directly after, Rousey says the producers have been understanding about the preparations and training necessary for her fight.

“I’m leaving soon,” Rousey told MMAjunkie.com, “and I’m very fortunate that there’s going to be Victor Ortiz and [former UFC figher] Randy Couture and other fighter-type people there, and I’m going to be able to have my camp come and do everything, so I’m not going to break training for it at all.”

Rousey’s training would likely have to shift to Atlanta, where filming for “Fast & Furious 7” will take place. But if her very recent past of accepting opportunities that present themselves is any indication, Rousey will have no trouble balancing the demands of fighting and acting.

“If I see it, I’ll go for it,” Rousey said. “I try to see everything that’s available because if you just focus on one thing, you miss other opportunities.”

Aside from her movie debuts, Rousey is set to be on the cover of Maxim in September and to be a coach on “The Ultimate Fighter” this fall.
