Police are looking for a fan who manhandled a teenager while stripping him of a home run souvenir at last Wednesday’s Red Sox-Giants game at AT&T Park, according to the San Francisco Examiner.
Stephen Drew popped a home run in the seventh inning of Wednesday’s game, and a 16-year-old wearing a Dustin Pedroia jersey won the tussle for the ball in the AT&T Park stands. But after he came up with the ball, another man came at him from behind and wrested the ball from his hand, according to the report.
The incident came to light after the teenager complained of wrist pain. But MLB.com also had video of the situation, with the highlight of the Drew homer showing the perpetrator in the act. That suspect, seen on the video, has been described by police as a black man in his late 30s who is 5-foot-9 and 230 pounds.
Police say the suspect remains “outstanding.”
