Tiger Woods houseHeading into Saturday’s third round, Tiger Woods finds himself 10 strokes back of leader Jason Dufner at the PGA Championship. So, let’s get the predictable ‘Tiger Woods’ chances at the PGA are sinking’ jokes out of the way right now. Come on, let’s not be so unoriginal.

While Woods toils at Oak Hill in Rochester, N.Y., his home in Florida may be receding into the earth, according to TMZ. The $55 million custom-built mansion in Jupiter Island is said to be sinking, has a giant hole in the dining room and the underlying problem is serious.

Woods first noticed sagging in the dining room, according to TMZ. Contractors were called, and they fear that pilings were improperly set or may be missing. If there’s any good news for Woods, though, it’s that — so far — the sinking appears to be limited to the dining room.

However, it may also just be the inevitable hazards of building your home on what amounts to a thin sand bar.
