Rob GronkowskiFOXBORO, Mass. — “Same thing every day.”

That’s the response Bill Belichick beat into the media’s head during his Tuesday afternoon press conference when asked about Rob Gronkowski. It appeared Gronkowski’s activity had increased Monday when he was spotted catching passes and jogging on the side field.

Prior to Monday, Gronkowski had been seen at every practice, but he has just been standing on the sideline.

“He’s been out there every day. He’s been in a camp the whole — he hasn’t missed a day of camp.”

Belichick was pushed further about Gronkowski by the reporter.

“He was here the first day of camp,” Belichick said. “He’s been doing the same thing every day.”

Belichick was asked by the reporter how Gronkowski has looked recently in his recovery from back surgery.

“He’s been doing the same thing every day,” Belichick said.

The reporter asked, “He’s been out there every day?”

“The same thing every day,” Belichick said. “For those of us who have been here, it’s been the same thing every day.”

The reporter mentioned Gronkowski was working out in the view of the media.

“Same thing every day,” Belichick said.

Well, it wasn’t the same on Tuesday, at least for the media. Gronkowski was not out at the start of practice when reporters were able to watch the session.
