Sky Sports Reporter Nick Collins Falls off Platform During Live Interview (Video)

The national soccer teams of England and Scotland meet on the field for the first time since 1999 on Wednesday.

It’s such a grand occasion that Nick Collins, a reporter for U.K. broadcaster Sky Sports, wanted the perfect backdrop for his live report from Wembley Stadium, so he stood on a makeshift platform in order to keep the iconic venue in his shot. Unfortunately, either the platform or Collins’ legs didn’t share the reporter’s sense of grandeur, because one or both of them gave out on live television.

Collins went tumbling to the ground as he was talking about Michael Carrick‘s injury, and producers quickly cut back to anchorman Jim White, who did his best to maintain his professional composure.

Collins soon returned to the broadcast. He is in good health, despite the scare.

See Collins fall down in the video below.
