Tampa Bay Rays Honor Mariano Rivera With Sand Sculpture at Tropicana Field (Photo)

Mariano Rivera‘s latest stop on his farewell tour is Tropicana Field, where the Yankees take on the Rays in a three-game series, and the Rays made sure Rivera didn’t leave without being honored.

Adding to a collection that includes a beach cruiser bicycle, a chair made of broken bats, a custom surfboard and a plane dedicated in his honor, Mariano was honored at the Trop with a sand sculpture carved in his likeness. The Rays obviously took inspiration from Rivera’s well-known entrance song, “Enter Sandman” by Metallica.

The sculpture features a bust of Rivera set amid the New York City skyline with a banner that says “Enter Sandman 42” on it.
