Tim Tebow‘s time with the Patriots came to an end on Saturday afternoon when the team announced it had released the quarterback.

Throughout an up-and-down preseason, Tebow seemed to be making strides with the Patriots offense, but the improvements he made ultimately weren’t enough, as he was let go by his third team in 18 months.

His play on the field may have been inconsistent, but Tebow’s positive attitude and bright outlook never wavered during his stint with the Pats, and being cut wasn’t going to change that aspect of the former Heisman Trophy winner.

Tebow took to Twitter after the news broke and expressed nothing but gratitude and appreciation to the organization and people who took a chance on him. He also guaranteed that this setback wouldn’t deter him from continuing his dream of becoming a quarterback in the NFL.
