Adam Eaton is a very helpful ballplayer.

After Dodgers catcher Tim Federowicz had trouble scooping up a pitch to record a strikeout of Eaton for the third out in the fifth inning of Arizona’s win over Los Angeles on Wednesday night, Eaton did everything he could to lend Federowicz a hand.

Eaton struck out on three pitches, and his last swing was a doozy. He went around so hard he knocked his own legs out from under himself. That left him perfectly seated for when Federowicz tracked down the ball, which had gotten loose, and came back to tag Eaton.

To make things simpler yet, Eaton raised his hand for a high five, letting Federowicz tag him out to polish off the inning.
