The city of Cleveland is putting Anthony Saveriano to work.
Saveriano, who was arrested for streaking during the second half of a Browns preseason game on Aug. 15, was sentenced Wednesday to 40 hours of community service — a sentence he will serve by cleaning up trash left by tailgaters at FirstEnergy Stadium after four games this season.
“We thought it very appropriate that he go out there and clean up after all those partiers and revelers,” Cleveland Municipal Judge Lauren C. Moore said after the hearing, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Moore decided not to impose jail time or a heavy monetary penalty on Saveriano, instead sentencing the 21-year-old to community service, one year of probation and a $572 dollar fine.
Saveriano was also banned from attending any future games or events held at the stadium, which the team made very clear in a strongly worded letter.
