Columbus Dispatch Headline Says John Elway Threw Seven Touchdown Passes Against Ravens (Photo)

John Elway last played in 1998, which was like a really, really long time ago. Don’t tell the Columbus Dispatch that, though. Actually, you should definitely tell them that, because they apparently missed that memo.

The Ohio newspaper made a whoopsie Thursday night and into Friday morning when it was throwing together Friday morning’s edition. You see, the Denver Broncos played football Thursday night, and their quarterback, Peyton Manning, threw seven touchdown passes. That’s more than enough to get his name in the paper. The only problem was that the Dispatch got their Denver quarterbacks mixed up. Instead of a headline reading “Manning throws seven touchdown passes,” a headline for the Broncos’ win over the Baltimore Ravens instead read “Elway throws seven touchdown passes.” D’oh.

Classic mix-up.
