Day 2The Whalers may be gone, but there’s still a thirst for hockey in Connecticut, and NESN’s Back in Black and Gold Tour helped quench that thirst in advance of the upcoming season on Tuesday.

After the barnstorming efforts kicked off Monday morning, the NESN Bruins broadcast team of Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley and Jamie Erdahl took off for Hartford. The festivities got kicked off bright and early Tuesday morning in the Nutmeg State with a great conversation with Raven in the Morning of WCCC The Rock.

From there, the crew headed to Hands On Hartford, a food pantry right downtown. Jack, Brick and Jamie were educated on the continued efforts to feed and help the less fortunate before getting their chance to do some work themselves. They helped weigh food, stock the shelves and help visitors do some shopping for food.

The afternoon included a trip to the Comcast offices in Berlin for more meeting and greeting and photo taking. Then it was back to Hartford to finish the day. That included a stop at FOX CT for a sitdown interview with Rich Coppola. The FOX CT sportscaster then met up with Jack, Brick and Jamie at the Black Bear Saloon to finish the day with a meet-and-greet, question-and-answer session with Bruins fans.

Jack, Brick and Jamie are back at it again Wednesday, as they’ll be in Portland. You can find out where they’ll be in Portland and more by clicking here.
