Jaxson DeVille really should have known better.
The Jacksonville Jaguars mascot made a little friendly wager with his Indianapolis Colts counterpart, Blue, prior to the teams’ meeting this past Sunday. Whichever side lost the AFC South matchup would be hit with one paintball for every point scored in the game.
The Jags, of course, are incredibly bad this season, and they performed exactly as advertised in a 37-3 shellacking at the hands of Andrew Luck and the Colts. Forty points meant 40 bruises for Jaxson, who took the abuse while wearing nothing but a spandex suit and a banana hammock.
The whole thing looks like zero fun, but it could have been worse. The mascot could have made this bet in Week 6 instead, when the Jags head to Denver for what’s shaping up to be a beatdown of epic proportions.
