Kenbrell Thompkins, Aaron Dobson Were Getting Open Against Jets, Still Have to Work on Drops (Video)

FOXBORO, Mass. — There’s been a lot of panic throughout New England since Thursday night’s game against the Jets.

NESN.com Patriots writer Doug Kyed and MassLive.com’s Nick Underhill are here to calm everyone down. New England’s rookie receivers had their struggles on Thursday night, but they also showed some positive moments.

Kenbrell Thompkins was able to beat Antonio Cromartie a couple of times early in the game. The veteran cornerback was able to rebound later on and put the clamps on the undrafted rookie, but Thompkins looked better than he did in Week 1.

Aaron Dobson was also able to get open, though he had more trouble catching the football than Thompkins did. The Patriots are just entering Week 3, so everyone on the team will get better, especially the rookies. To hear more about the receivers, watch Kyed and Underhill discuss the position in the video above.
