On Thursday night, Mariano Rivera will take the field at Yankee Stadium for the last time.

Teams, players and cities have been commemorating the all-time saves leader since the moment he announced his retirement during spring training, but now it is the league’s turn to honor No. 42. Before the Yankees take on the Rays on Thursday, the New York Daily News, the New York Post, Metro New York and USA Today will run a full-page ad commissioned by MLB and signed by Bud Selig.

With a nod to his unhittable cutter, the awards he has racked up during his 19-year career and the history he has made, MLB and Selig thank Rivera for all he has done for the game.
