If Gabriel TorresĀ adapts to the Rocky Mountains, Colorado Rapids fans will be in for a treat.

The Panamanian forward scored a gem of a goal for his national team on Tuesday night, using the back of his heel to flick the ball past Honduras goalkeeper Noel Valladares. He successfully pulled off the audacious trick from a tight angle, which makes the goal even more impressive.

Torres struck in the 50th minute to tie the score at 1-1. Panama eventually earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw, keeping its hopes of qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup alive.

Torres joined the Rapids in early August after signing a four-and-a-half-year contract with the MLS club. The 24-year-old has only played two games for his new team, but goals like this suggest he will add a bit of magic to the Mile High City’s sports scene.
