FOXBORO, Mass. — Minutes after Marquice Cole‘s name was cryptically left off the Patriots’ injury report after being listed with a hamstring injury all week, the cornerback was released.

This is the second time Cole has been released by New England this season. He was initially cut on Sept. 1 just to be re-signed the next day.

Cole signed with the Patriots last season. He had previously spent three seasons with the Jets.
