FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots have filled their 53-man roster — for now.

The team signed defensive tackle A.J. Francis and center Braxston Cave, according to the players’ Twitter accounts. Francis spent the preseason with the Dolphins, while Cave was previously with the Browns.

Francis, 6-foot-5, 309 pounds, recorded nine tackles for loss and four sacks with Maryland last season. He rejoins his defensive tackle mate from the Terrapins, Joe Vellano, on New England’s active roster.
