Pedro Martinez Lands Job as Playoff Analyst on TBS, Will Join Host Keith Olbermann

Pedro MartinezPedro Martinez is back in baseball just in time for the Red Sox to hit the postseason.

The former Sox ace will serve as a studio analyst on TBS during Major League Baseball playoffs starting in October with the NL Wild Card play-in game, according to CBS Boston. Martinez will join host Keith Olbermann in studio.

The 41-year-old Martinez last took the mound the last in the 2009 World Series with the Phillies, and has joined Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy in the NESN broadcast booth in Boston on numerous occasions this season.

Martinez was 219-100 with a 2.93 ERA in 18 major league seasons spread out over a number of teams. In 2004, he helped Boston reverse the Curse of the Bambino and win its first World Series in 86 years.
