Ouch. Ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch.

It was squeamish enough when Rashad Johnson said after Sunday’s game that he lost part of his finger in action, but photo evidence has confirmed the feat. Johnson discovered part of his finger was missing when he pulled the glove off his right hand during the Cardinals’ game against the Saints and realized the tip of his finger didn’t come out with the rest of his hand.

Johnson left the game and has had surgery to take care of the end of the finger, but he made sure to tweet pictures of the mishap (warning: they’re gross) on Monday.

“It was the same length as my index finger,” Johnson said of the finger after the injury, according to azcentral.com. “It was pretty shocking to see it that way. But this type of stuff happens. Guys end up with bad biceps, bad shoulders, bad fingers. I mean, it’s just a part of the game fans don’t get an opportunity to see.

“Things like this happen and our team needs us the next Sunday. If we can play, then we gotta dress and go out there and do it. It’s our job.”

Check out Johnson’s version of him doing his job in the photo by clicking here (warning: photo is pretty gruesome).
