The Red Sox’ destiny is in their own hands — they can secure a spot in the playoffs with a win Thursday night against the Orioles.

Buck Showalter has a 33-24 record against the Red Sox as manager of the Orioles, and the Birds have enjoyed a 9-6 record against the Sox this season, so Thursday’s game could be a true test. Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
