Aaron HernandezPatriots fans who can’t find their way to a TV with NFL Network on it on Thursday night shouldn’t be disheartened. There are plenty of others who can’t catch the game against the Jets, either — like a certain former New England tight end.

TMZ checked in with Sheriff Thomas Hodgson of Bristol County Jail this week, and he said Aaron Hernandez and other inmates will not be watching any NFL games.

“While Mr. Hernandez and many other inmates would like to watch football, it is just not part of our policy here,” he told TMZ. “… So that will not be happening.”

The Patriots are still looking for a new tight end to step into Hernandez’s role, and the other half of what was once the most promising young tight end duo in the NFL — Rob Gronkowski — remains out with injury.
