Lamar Odom has taken the first step toward changing the discouraging narrative of his recent life.
The NBA free agent, who has reportedly been dealing with drug issues over the past few years, has checked himself into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, People.com reports. Odom was charged with driving under the influence in Los Angeles last Friday, and there were reports that he had disappeared for several days while his friends and family, including wife Khloe Kardashian, were trying to get him help.
Odom came from a troubled past and has dealt with various issues throughout his NBA career. The most recent reports, that he was dealing with an addiction to crack cocaine, came after an underwhelming couple of years with the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers.
