Bill BelichickThe Patriots are constantly keeping their eye on the free agent market for players who might be able to help them.

Bill Belichick and his staff had three players in for tryouts this week: running back Jeremy Wright, tight end Ryan Otten and long snapper Bryce Davis, according to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun.

Wright, 22, an undrafted rookie from Louisville, ran for 824 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound back was originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent but was released in June. He spent a short time with the Pittsburgh Steelers during training camp, too, but did not make the final roster.

Otten, 23, also went undrafted out of San Jose State in April. He caught 126 passes for 1,760 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Spartans over four seasons, including 47 catches for 742 yards and four scores as a senior in 2012. Otten, who measures in at 6-foot-6 and 240 pounds, signed with the Jaguars and spent training camp with the team before being released in final roster cuts.

Davis, 24, spent the 2012 season on the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad after going undrafted out of Oklahoma State. He was released by the team during training camp ahead of this season.
