Rob Gronkowski, Zach SudfieldThe curious case of Rob Gronkowski‘s health continues to take more twists and turns.

Gronkowski will miss his fourth consecutive game in Atlanta on Sunday while still recovering from offseason surgeries. It was originally thought that his surgically repaired forearm was the injury keeping him sidelined, but it appears that his back is the lingering problem, according to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer.

The All-Pro tight end missed all of training camp and the preseason but has been practicing with the team since the beginning of September. He was believed to be back on the field around Week 3 or 4, but he’s been having disagreements with the Patriots about his readiness to play. It now appears he’s aiming for Week 6, although he isn’t ruling out a return next weekend when the team travels to Cincinnati.

Neither Gronkowski or wide receiver Danny Amendola traveled to Atlanta for Sunday night’s game.
