Leon WashingtonFOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots are not done making roster moves.

New England claimed guard Chris Barker off waivers from the Dolphins and linebacker Chris White from the Lions. Barker went undrafted out of Nevada. White was recently traded from the Bills to the Lions. He was drafted in the sixth round out of Mississippi State by Buffalo in 2011.

To make room, the Patriots released running back Leon Washington and Marquice Cole. Washington was backing up Shane Vereen in the third-down role. He was also returning kicks and punts for the Patriots. Cole gave the team some versatility by playing slot corner, outside corner and safety.

The Patriots signed Marcus Forson, Kanorris Davis, Ja’Gared Davis, Justin Green and Jeff Tarpinian to their practice squad. All five players participated in training camp with the Patriots. They have three open spots.
