Fans and media alike ripped the Sabres for their new looks, as Buffalo used Steve Ott to show off their new mustard-colored sweaters. People were far from impressed, as the popular reaction — or perhaps just the loudest? — was that the new sweater was an absolute failure.
It’s been a summer of change in the NHL, as the Sabres just joined a handful of teams who have updated or unveiled entirely new sweaters this summer. It might go without saying that they’re toward the bottom when it comes to public opinion.
