The Red Sox completed a stunning turnaround on Friday by capturing the AL East division title.

The win came a day after the team locked up a playoff spot and put an exclamation point on the Red Sox’ worst-to-first run , so it’s safe to say that the players were itching to break out the champagne. As soon as Koji Uehara struck out Brett Lawrie to cap off the ninth inning, the Red Sox’ locker room was covered floor to ceiling in plastic, players donned goggles — and an army helmet — and fans partied in the stands in celebration of the Red Sox’ team that’s made this 2013 season such a wild ride.

Check out the tweets below for player reactions, some extended congratulations and an inside look at how the Red Sox celebrated their AL East crown at Fenway last night.
