Emeka OnyenekwuThe Patriots are not done shuffling their roster.

The team brought defensive end Emeka Onyenekwu in for a workout on Tuesday, sources told Doug Kyed of NESN.com. Onyenekwu went undrafted out of Louisiana-Lafayette this season. He was signed by the Dolphins after the draft and was cut on Aug. 27.

The Patriots have just four defensive ends and eight defensive linemen on their roster right now. Onyenekwu is 6-foot-3, 264 pounds and recorded 6 1/2 sacks for the Ragin’ Cajuns in 2012. He played 127 snaps during the preseason, according to Pro Football Focus, recording one quarterback hit and three tackles.

The Patriots have already signed two undrafted rookies cut by the Dolphins, guard Chris Barker and defensive tackle A.J. Francis.
