Terelle Pryor was forced to leave Monday night’s game against the Broncos with a concussion, and it might be worse than originally expected.
The Raiders’ quarterback tweeted on Monday morning that he didn’t remember much about the 37-21 loss, even saying that he “heard our team fought well.” Comments like that make the Raiders’ indecision about replacing Pryor after taking a big hit from Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard seem absurd, especially with the supposed enhanced focus on player safety around the NFL.
Soon after Pryor’s concerning tweet, the quarterback returned to Twitter with a few new more messages about his health and status for this Sunday’s game against Washington.
Whether Pryor plays on Sunday will be be directly tied to his health and any lingering effects from the concussion, which, depending on what tweet you believe, could be very concerning or promising. If Pryor is unable to play on Sunday, veteran Matt Flynn will get the start at quarterback for the Raiders.
