Daniel Bard has not been able to reclaim the dominance he once possessed for the Red Sox, and the struggling reliever was designated for assignment on Sunday to make room for Quintin Berry.
After providing Boston with phenomenal performances in years past, Tim Wakefield noted that Bard’s move came down to the business side of baseball, and the Sox simply needed a roster spot for Berry. Wake hopes that the 28-year-old could benefit from a change of scenery and hopefully get back on track.
Check out what else Wakefield and Adam Pellerin had to say about the roster move in the above video.
