Will Svitek Is Lone Player Missing From Shorts, Shells Patriots Practice As Team Prepares for Bills

Will SvitekFOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots have been lucky to avoid injuries in the week before the team’s game against the Bills.

Reserve swing tackle Will Svitek was the lone player missing from practice the entire week leading up to New England’s Week 1 game in Buffalo. Svitek has been spotted walking through the locker room with a knee brace.

That means Svitek will not be able to play against the Bills. The team’s top reserve tackle will be Marcus Cannon.

Rob Gronkowski was on the practice field again. The team was in shorts and shells and all we were able to watch was the team warming up.

One new wrinkle we saw as we were walking to the practice field was the specialists — Stephen Gostkowski, Ryan Allen and Danny Aiken — practicing field goals in Gillette Stadium rather than on the practice field.
