Zac Rinaldo may be getting a call from Brendan Shanahan after this one.

The Flyers was winger was ejected from Friday night’s exhibition game in Washington after delivering an elbow to the face of Mikhail Grabovski in the corner behind the Capitals net. Grabovski remained down on the ice for a moment but skated to the bench under his own power and returned to the game shortly after.

Rinaldo has made a name for himself as an agitator and as a result has racked up 317 penalty minutes over the last two seasons — second in the NHL behind Ottawa’s Chris Neil. Capitals head coach Adam Oates said after the game that he expects the league to look into Rinaldo’s latest infraction.
