The Bruins put on an offensive show on Saturday night, exploding for five goals on the night, but they also provided some entertainment with a couple of third-period scuffles.
Adam McQuaid went flying into the boards with Nate Thompson late in the third period, but despite the Bruins defenseman taking the brunt of the nasty collision, McQuaid’s fists proved to be unharmed.
Once McQuaid untangled himself from Thompson, he popped right up and the two dropped the gloves. McQuaid landed a good amount of hits on the forward before dropping Thompson to the ground.
Not even a minute later, it was Jarome Iginla‘s turn to partake in some fisticuffs. In a rematch from opening night for these two squads, Iginla and Radko Gudas engaged in Round 2 of their spirited bout.
